August 23, 2pm UK time / This webinar will incorporate a number of different viewpoints on how to communicate forecast information drawing on both a review of the current literature, as well as experience working with communicating forecast information. We will note major obstacles - ranging from format styles and translation issues to inherent biases - and consider pathways to greater acceptance and use. Speakers will be: Saroja Schwager, Columbia University; Cathy Vaughan, International Research Institute for Climate and Society; and Roop Singh, Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre.
