International Alert (Alert) is one of the world’s leading peacebuilding organisations, with nearly 30 years of experience laying the foundations for peace. Alert helps governments, development and humanitarian organisations and companies adopt conflict sensitive approaches to their policies and programming. Our belief is that conflict sensitivity (and therefore implicitly gender sensitivity and social inclusion) is an opportunity for interventions and programmes to minimise the risks of (unintentionally) doing harm particular in unstable, fragile and conflict-affected contexts.

We welcome comments that advance the story through relevant opinion, anecdotes, links and data. If you see a comment that you believe is irrelevant or inappropriate, you can flag it to our editors by using the report abuse links. Views expressed in the comments do not represent those of Braced or its partners.
